1. Journaling all of my doubts and throughs around old money stories. My grandfather always would say, “money doesn’t grow on trees” yet my grandma would always take me shopping and when I asked her where the money came from she would tell me she picked the money from the money tree in her closet. Talk about a confusing message.
2. Writing down my goals each and every day. Yep, I do this! It’s my favorite thing I do each morning. I grab my cup of coffee and curl up on the couch with my journal every morning about what I’m grateful for, list out all of my goals as if they’ve already happened and free write anything that comes to mind. I love that each day I get to write my goals down as if it’s a brand new goal and each day I get to work towards it and make progress. The simple step each morning helps me stay on track.
3. Tracking my money. Knowing what comes in each month and from where it is so valuable. I track it all, a surprise check in the mail from a refund, client earnings and even gifts can be tracked. Find a penny, pick it up and then all day you’ll have good luck. Yes and add the penny to your tracker.
4. Tapping and forgiving. Sometimes old beliefs are hard to get rid of or we have a bad day and the mind play from that is hard to shake off. Denise teaches to EFT tapping and forgive ourselves to move forward. Releasing the negative energy from my body and saying a mantra has helped me so much with moving forward.
5. Upgrading my life. Allow yourself the opportunity to look at what you have and decide when it’s time to upgrade. Look at the things around you that you have put up with for a long time and decide if it’s still for you. If it doesn’t bring you joy (thanks Marie Kondo) then get rid of it and get a new one. If you have an old pair of jeans that you’ve been wearing but wish you had a new pair then it’s time to donate those and go get yourself a new pair. If you’re working on an old desk and know you want a new one, go get a new one. It’s okay to have nice things and its okay to upgrade to the life you want, even if you don’t think you’re ready. Oh and by the way… Ps. You’re ready!
