I’m Darlene a speaker, personal branding and online business coach who shows ambitious, heart centered coaches, experts, leaders & entrepreneurs how to create a profitable online business while making space for themselves and their families by speaking up and sharing their story.
My genius is showing entrepreneurs 2+ years into their business how to deepen their business foundation and go after visibility so they can share their message with the world, attract dream clients, and have the impact, freedom, and flexibility they desire.
And supporting leaders inside organizations to strengthen their inner and outer voice so that they can speak up for themselves and the ideas and issues that matter most and move people to take action whenever they speak.
My Story
Imagine being 17, a senior in high school… and pregnant.
I was confused and honestly unsure what my future would look like as a single teen mom. But what I did know... without a doubt, was that I was going to create a beautiful life for my son.
With a lot of support from my family (and a whole lot of determination). In honesty he raised me just as much as I raised him.
It wasn’t always easy, but we figured it out together. And through it all, he showed me just how strong I really am, and how much I’m capable of.
After high school, I started working in big-box retail and quickly moved into management. I loved helping my team grow, whether that meant getting promoted or following their dreams beyond the company.
I was building a good life for us, but the 60+ hour weeks took a toll. I barely saw my son, my health was suffering, and the mom guilt was real. I was trying to be everything to everyone—at work and at home—and I just couldn’t keep up.
That’s where the seeds were planted for the work I do now.
Then my world was flipped upside down the Summer of 2001 when my mom/ best friend was killed in a car accident and I almost lost my 5-year-old son.

By some miracle, my son came home just a few days later. I’ll never stop being grateful for that. But losing my mom shattered me. She was the person who always believed in me. She taught me to be kind, to be real, to give generously, to have fun, and to always show up as the best version of myself... because that’s where I could make the biggest impact.
I still hear her voice when I need it most. She’s the reason I keep going. And she’s a big part of why I do this work today... to help others find their voice, step into their power, and create lives and careers filled with purpose, connection, and courage.
Despite all the pain and heartache, I was feeling; I knew it was time to make a change and impact lives and be the mom I wanted to be on my terms.
A year after having my second son, I took a big leap—I became a business coach.
I went all in. I invested in a franchise, trained with some of the best in the industry, and came out of that experience ready to make a difference in people’s lives. But there was one big problem: I couldn’t figure out how to get clients. I was passionate, skilled, and committed… but I couldn’t find the words to clearly communicate what I did or why it mattered. I wasn’t connecting with the people I knew I could help... and that felt crushing.
By the end of 2009, I walked away from the franchise. I felt like I’d failed yet deep down, I knew I wasn’t done.
In early 2010, I picked myself back up and decided to build my business on my terms. I quieted the inner critic, rebuilt my confidence, and reminded myself of everything I’d already overcome. I leaned into my own story, embraced my voice, and started sharing what made me different... not what I thought people wanted to hear.
That’s when things started to click. I realized that whether you're an entrepreneur or a leader inside an organization, your message matters. How you show up, how you lead, how you communicate... it’s everything.
And I wanted to model that for my kids. I wanted them to see that we can do hard things, bounce back stronger, and build something meaningful—when we trust ourselves and lead with heart.
My life has completely transformed since July 4th, 2001
Since I lost my mother, I am now a partner and mother of four amazing kids and run a successful business.
Through mindset work, clarity, and a whole lot of persistence, I’ve built a business that works for me. And now, I help others do the same—whether they’re building their own business or leading inside an organization.
Today, I coach ambitious entrepreneurs and rising executive leaders to find their voice, own their message, and step fully into their personal brand. I help them get clear on who they serve, what they stand for, and how to communicate it... whether they’re speaking on a stage, pitching an idea, leading a team, or growing a movement.
Because when you’re clear on who you are and how you want to show up, everything changes... your confidence grows, your visibility expands, and your impact deepens.
