As #momprenuers sometimes we feel pulled in so many directions.
I was asked by one of the ladies in my workshop this week, "How do we maintain balance at home and at work when we feel like we have nothing left to give?"
I so related to her question, because I've felt it too.
Many of nights I've put the kids to bed and drawn a hot bath, exhausted from the day.
It was when I stopped trying to balance my business and personal life as two different things and started blending the two areas in harmony together that I felt like I could breathe again.
Here are my 3 tips to achieving harmony in your personal life and in your business.
1. Managing time- It's so important that you spend time doing what you love. I want you to create a value-based time management system. Prioritize the following areas in your life. Then go through and ask yourself how much time are you spending in each of these areas.
~Family life, Spiritual life, Health, Finances, Work, Romantic life, Leisure time, Home~
If the areas you value the most don't match up with how much time you spend in each area, look at what you can do to spend more time in the areas that mean the most to you.
John Randolph said, "Time is at once the most valuable and the most perishable of all possessions.
2. Create Daily Happiness- No one can make you happy, it's a choice you get to make each and every day. You Get to Choose! So stay in the moment, Remember quality-not-quantity, Learn to forgive, Use your humor, Put relationships first, Stand up for yourself and your life, Respect yourself and others, Let go of things you can't control, and Set healthy boundaries.
3. Maximizing relationships- Connecting with others is one of my super strengths and truly what lights me up. We are made for connection so when we feel out of balance quite often it's because we feel disconnected to the people most important to us. Start to take an interest in others, plan an occasional social event with friends and coworkers, ask if you can help and be friendly, positive and optimistic. The more connected you are with those that you spend the most time with the easier it is to feel as if your living the life of your dreams.
What are some ways that you make sure you create harmony in your life?
